One of the most important part in any automobile manufacturing operation is the cylinder block line and thus make it one of the most critical to monitor it maintain the operational excellence at the shop floor.

Cylinder block line usually faces the following issues: - Line stoppage, Slow Speed, Starting Loss, Tools not available and Rejection these issues mainly arise due to the following causes malfunctioning of the machine, manpower not available, improper settings and absence of fixed guideline for setup change.

 

At Auring we have worked with multiple organisation and helped them in monitoring the production at the cylindrical block line for the fine boring, honing machines fitted with Fanuc and Beckhoff controllers.

How did we do it ? 

 

- All the CNC Machines on the cylinder block line are connected with   Ethernet cables

- The Machines are connected to the plant networking switch.

- An industrial IOT Gateway is installed on the factory floor connected      to the network switch

- The Gateway than captures the data coming from the machines and           send it over to the IOT Platform for Visualisation.

 

Upon digitisation of the machine line using Auring’s IIOT solution the customer was able to achieve the following KPI’s in real time :- Planned Vs Actual production count, OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency) , Advanced Production schedule, Uptime availability of the machine, MTTR(Mean Time to Repair) , MTBF(Mean Time Between
